-P value        

 

Specifies the paper size to use when acquiring the images. Default is letter (8.5" x 11"). The TWAIN device must support acquiring to the chosen paper size. For example, some TWAIN devices do not support legal (8.5" x 14") paper sizes or A4.

 

Example:  Acquire to A4 paper size:

DTWAIN_TwainSave("-P A4 -F gif -f mygif.gif");

 

Acquire to US legal paper size:

DTWAIN_TwainSave("-P legal -F gif -f mygif.gif");

 

Some devices that are not paper oriented (for example, digital cameras and scanners that are software-based) can have the value option set to none as the paper size.  If the value is none, then the resulting page size is dependent on the driver.

 

To determine beforehand the various paper sizes that are supported, it is recommended that you generate a detail listing of the installed device to see the various paper sizes supported.

DTWAIN_TwainSave supports most of the ISO paper sizes, the United States paper sizes, and the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) sizes.  Please note that the support that is actually given depends on what your particular device supports.
